About Bas Collard

Bas Collard is a partner and attorney-at-law at AKD who specialises in construction and real estate law.

Leasing is a particular focus area for Bas. He acts for landlords as well as tenants of any imaginable type of commercial premises and for tenants of housing estates. His clients include investors, property managers, retailers, housing associations and municipalities.

Bas also assists stakeholders with transactions selling and purchasing real estate, and with project development and the construction of real estate projects. His areas of interest include the development and redevelopment of commercial and other property. Bas counts property developers and contractors amongst his clients.

Bas is a frequent litigator with considerable arbitration experience before various dispute resolution committees in all of the areas of law mentioned. He also acts in civil first-instance and appeal proceedings. He regularly publishes articles in law journals and magazines. Clients appreciate Bas for his in-depth knowledge, which he applies in a pragmatic and accessible manner.

Bas has completed the OSR specialist tenancy law course and is a member of the Association of Tenancy Lawyers, VHA. He also has completed the Grotius post-graduate specialist Property Law course.
