About Erwin Rademakers

Erwin Rademakers is a partner and attorney-at-law at AKD. He advises clients on M&A and corporate restructuring matters. His main theatre of operations are Japan, Korea and China, but he also has multiple Dutch, US and German clients. Many of his clients have holdings and operating companies in the Netherlands. Erwin specialises in cross-border restructuring projects and large and medium-scale mergers and acquisitions.

Erwin's client portfolio includes large international companies with offices worldwide, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to private equity and venture capital groups and state-owned enterprises. There are also numerous large and medium-sized companies and organisations that benefit from his advice.

Clients appreciate Erwin's no-nonsense views, his involvement and direct approach, and - above all - his clear understanding during difficult negotiations.

Erwin was AKD's managing partner between September 2014 and September 2023. Throughout this period, he successfully managed the firm's Benelux strategy, as part of which AKD transitioned from being a purely Dutch firm to a full-service firm that is the gateway from, to and in the Benelux. This strategy has proved very successful in terms of turnover as well as market reputation.

Erwin had been a member of AKD's Board before, between 2006 and 2010. He has been, and still is, a board member of various other organisations and institutions.
